Dubai: The rain showers that have cooled down most of the emirates are set to clear by the Eid Al Adha holiday period.

The next 48 hours will be unsettled, with continuing risks of thundery showers and rain showers that will be heaviest in coastal areas.

Giorgio Alessio, Duty Forecaster, Dubai Meteorological Office, said: "The weather will stay very unsettled until Saturday, with isolated rain showers on Thursday night, December 4, and there will be another chance of some rain on Friday evening. From Sunday it will settle down and most of the rain episodes will be gone. Next week will be nice and settled."
Temperatures across the UAE are set to rise to around 28C with some sunny spells next week, but will not rise to the 30s.

Motorists have been advised to take care when driving in wet and windy conditions.
