Commenting on the results, His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said: "The outstanding performance of UAE universities in the QS Arab Region Rankings reflects the progress of our higher education sector and the collective efforts of our academic institutions. We remain committed to enhancing the quality of educational outcomes, advancing scientific research and innovation, and ensuring that our graduates are equipped with the skills needed to contribute to building the UAE's future economy."

Aligning education and research with job market needs

The rankings highlight the importance of strengthening the alignment of academic excellence and scientific research with labour market needs. These priorities are central to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's Outcome-Based Evaluation Framework for higher education institutions, which aims to enhance institutional performance through measurable outcomes, including graduate employability, research impact and collaboration with economic sectors.

The Ministry continues to work closely with higher education institutions and strategic partners to enhance the quality and competitiveness of academic programmes, expand opportunities for scientific research and innovation, and strengthen partnerships that support national development priorities.

The results achieved by UAE universities in the latest rankings reflect their growing academic and research capabilities and their role in building a competitive, knowledge-based economy. They also reinforce the UAE's position as an attractive destination for students, researchers and academic talent from around the world.
