Dubai: Several schools across the UAE have announced temporary adjustments to the school-day schedule from November 17 to 19, introducing shorter hours and dedicated review sessions as students prepare for first-term final exams.

According to circulars issued by a number of schools and reviewed by Al Khaleej newspaper, kindergarten and cycle-one students will be dismissed at 12 p.m., while cycle-two and cycle-three students will finish at 1 p.m.

Schools also confirmed that Wednesday, November 19, will shift to remote learning for all cycles, with review links and assignments to be shared with students in advance.

Administrators stressed that a single unexcused absence will count as two days of absence, due to the importance of attendance during these revision days.

The temporary schedule is part of an effort to boost student readiness for final exams, which are set to begin on Thursday, November 20.
