Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Education Council has ordered all government and private schools in the emirate to remain closed on Wednesday, March 9, due to adverse weather conditions.

All schools in the Abu Dhabi emirate, including Al Ain, are to remain closed.

Heavy rain lashed the capital on Tuesday afternoon, disrupting events like the Abu Dhabi Air Expo.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology issued a weather warning on Tuesday, urging the public to be on the alert for "hazardous weather".
