18 teachers complete training course

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Education Zone (ADEZ) and the British Council recently completed a seven-week teacher training course.

Two supervisors from ADEZ joined 18 teachers from nine Abu Dhabi schools to participate in a preparation course for Module One of the Cambridge ESOL Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) teaching award. On completion of the course, the participants sat the exam for this module of the TKT.

The training programme recognises the growing need to continue education for teachers and to keep them abreast of the latest teaching methods. The British Council hopes that the knowledge conveyed in the sessions will be passed on by the participants to other teachers.

Sessions of the course were relevant to Module One of the TKT Award and covered language and the background to language learning and teaching.
