Dubai Charity distributes Zakat to 40,000 families

Dubai — Dubai Charity Association (DCA) distributed Zakat Al Fitr valued at Dh800,000 to 40,000 needy families and people with limited income.

The move comes as part of DCA’s Ramadan projects. Ahmad Memsmar, Secretary-General of DCA, said that Zakat Al Fitr is valued at Dh20 and is received as cash or goods through online or SMS donations, cash deposits in DCA’s account in Dubai Islamic Bank or Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, or through the association’s representatives located in different emirates.
