Cybercrime is punishable in the UAE with fines up to Dh500,000
Dubai: Dubai Police have arrested a youngster who published a clip of himself insulting and threatening policemen.
According to Dubai Police, the video went viral on social media, after which the youngster was arrested. He was referred to Dubai Public Prosecution as part of the investigation.
According to UAE Cyber-Crime law, any person who insults others online shall be punished by imprisonment or a fine between Dh250,000 to Dh500,000.
