Two arrested in Sharjah for stealing from parked cars

Police patrolling the roads caught the duo trying to break the window of a parked car

Sharjah: Sharjah Police have arrested two men for breaking car windows and stealing valuables from parked vehicles in industrial areas.

Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Alay Al Naqbi, director of industrial areas police station, said the incident was discovered after police patrolling the roads late at night spotted the two men standing suspiciously near a parked car.

Police officers monitored the movements of the suspects and arrested them as they were trying to break the window of one of the parked cars.

Police also seized the tools that the suspects used to break car windows.

The two suspects confessed to their crime and their case has been referred to the public prosecution for further action.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Al Naqbi urged motorists to avoid keeping precious items inside their vehicles as not to attract thieves and to avoid parking their vehicles in remote and dimly lit areas.
