Campaign against loitering in public places launched in Sharjah
Sharjah
Sharjah Police arrested 20 illegal residents yesterday as part of a police campaign launched in the emirate to stem loitering in public places, a police official said.
The suspects were from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Yemen and Ethiopia. Sharjah Police said those caught had either illegally entered the country or absconded from their sponsors.
They engaged in illegal activities to earn money quickly, such as selling goods on the street, begging or gambling.
