Abu Dhabi: Police have hit a roadblock in the cases of two missing Pakistanis, Gulf News has learned.

The missing individuals were registered at the Musaffah police station.

A 62 year-old Pakistani national, Riaz Ahmad, went missing from his home in Musaffah on August 24.

His family have yet to learn of his whereabouts 16 days later. Ahmad and his wife live in Abu Dhabi and their daughter Mawash Pervez and family live in Sharjah.

"My father suffers from memory loss, but he goes to nearby places like the mosque or grocery by himself," said Pervez.

"He has not been seen since 10am on August 24. My mother waited until night for him to return before lodging the complaint."

Pervez is also concerned about the health of her mother, a retired teacher. "She is in a very bad condition and spends her day reading the Quran in tears," she said.

Another Pakistani, Qamar Abbas Mohammad Iqbal, has been reported as missing since July 9. Officials said that they have already searched various police stations and hospitals for both men.
