Man dies after turning gun on himself in Sharjah

Sharjah: A 32-year-old man committed suicide, shooting himself at the Sharjah Shooting Club on Saturday afternoon, an official at Sharjah police told Gulf News.

The victim, who shot himself in the head, has been identified as R.D.M, from Denmark.

It is understood the man was in the UAE on a visit visa.

The tragic incident, which happened at around 3pm, is being treated as a suspected suicide attempt, officials probing the incident confirmed.

The body was moved to a forensic laboratory for an autopsy.

Representatives of the Sharjah Shooting Club had no comment.
