Dubai: An Emirati man has been charged with threatening to kill his sister if she refused to leave hospital accommodation and return to live with the family.
Prosecutors accused the 33-year-old suspect with threatening to kill his 29-year-old sister, who works in a hospital.
According to the charge sheet, prosecutors said the defendant, A.T., told his younger sister "consider your life is over".
Prosecution records said A.T. called his sister and threatened her after she refused to return to live in their family's home.
On bail
The suspect who is on bail failed to attend Tuesday's hearing at the Dubai Court of First Instance.
The sister's lawyer told Presiding Judge Al Saeed Mohammad Barghout that her client is suing A.T. and claiming temporary compensation against her [the sister] alleged emotional and moral damages.
