Initial repair estimates provided to the company reached Dh833,000
Dubai: A man of Arab nationality who crashed a rented Lamborghini Urus, causing extensive damage, has been ordered to pay compensation of Dh93,925 following a ruling by Dubai’s civil court.
According to court documents, the man had rented the luxury vehicle from a car rental company for Dh2,800 a day. Just six days into the lease, he was involved in a traffic accident that left the Lamborghini badly damaged and another vehicle affected. Initial repair estimates provided to the company reached Dh833,000.

It demanded Dh527,600 in compensation and filed a lawsuit when the renter refused to pay.
Court-appointed experts confirmed the accident occurred under the man’s use and that the vehicle required significant repairs. However, the assessment found that the company had already received Dh350,000 from its insurance provider and had not yet carried out full repairs. Instead, the expert estimated the actual outstanding damages, including loss of use, at just over Dh93,000.
The court ruled in favor of the rental company for that amount, rejecting its larger claim.
