Abu Dhabi: Dramatic video footage showing a raiding team in action that led to a massive drug haul was released by the UAE Ministry of Interior.

The short video, which runs for 1:55 minutes and posted on Youtube on Friday, shows how gang members were busted in a villa with a massive stash of contraband drugs as part of "Opperation Wooden Doors".

The Abu Dhabi Police recently uncovered an attempt to promote 4.5 million tablets, with an estimated street price of Dh250 million.

Around 11,750 of the tablets were recovered in Dubai by a team from Dubai Police, which received support from Kuwait security forces.

Police said the illegal drugs were found with a four-member gang, now facing prosecution.

Police said the gang comprised three Arabs and one GCC citizen.

The bust was one of the biggest of its kind in the UAE, authorities said.
