Sharjah: Sharjah Police arrested an Arab contractor who tried to flee from the country after the death of a worker who violated the UAE residency law and was wanted by security authorities.

The worker fell to his death from a high-rise building under construction in Sharjah.

The incident came to light after the police operations room received a call about the body of a man found in the industrial area.

Investigations revealed that the body was that of an Asian man who violated the UAE residency law and was wanted by security authorities in UAE.

Police investigations also revealed that the worker was hired by an Arab contractor for daily wages. The contractor, with the help of workers, moved the body to the industrial area to cover the crime.

The contractor was identified and arrested at the Sharjah airport while he attempted to flee the country.
