Powerful Consolidated Shipping Services (CSS) beat Sharjah Club by 83 runs in the ongoing Consolidated Shipping Gold Cup for XIV Sharjah Ramadan Floodlit A Division cricket tournament. Consolidated Shipping Services were rocked early by Arshad. Asghar Ali (50 off 67 balls with 3 fours) and Sree Ram (20 off 29 balls) prevented their opponents to get on top as they added 45 runs for the third wicket.

Naeemullah made 58 off just 39 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes that took them to 189 for seven in 35 overs. Arshad (2/22) and Danish (2/33) were the pick of the bowlers with a couple of wickets apiece.

Sharjah got off to a poor start, losing the first couple of wickets with only seven runs on the board. It was Rajeev (4 for 14) who caused the early damage that broke the backbone of the batting while Naeemullah (2 for 7 off 6 overs) continued his good work this time with the ball as Sharjah were ultimately bowled out for 106 in 31 overs to hand over a big victory to their opponents.

Lloyds TSB Bank beat Kinara Club from London by 110 runs that has ensured them a place in the knockout stage of the ongoing CSL First Point Gold Cup for the IV Sharjah Ramadan Floodlit B Division Cricket Tournament.

Lloyds TSB Bank made 245 for five in the allotted 30 overs. A double blow from Anjum early in the innings that removed both openers did not deter one-drop Vijay and Johanne Samarasekara to play their shots.

Vijay hit a sparkling unbeaten century (102 with 7 fours and 4 sixes) while Johanne compiled a splendid 92 and was quite unlucky to miss the three-figure mark by a whisker. Though three wickets fell quickly once the big partnership was broken, the duo had done enough to post a huge total in the end.

Anjum took five for 34. Kinara made a good start and put up 68 for the first wicket between Ali (30 with 5 fours) and Gulnawaz (26 with 3 fours) but then caved in. They were bowled out for 135. Alwyn (4 for 12) and Ashok (3 for 5) brought a swift end to the innings with a good spell.

Pak Exapts beat Rainbow Club by 36 runs in the Hyderabad Ramadan cricket tournament. Pak Expats batting first scored 187 as they were bowled out in 19.4 overs.

There was a good contribution by Shafaqat who scored 71 runs in just 38 balls. In reply Rainbow Club made a wonderful start with Raja scoring 71 but collapsed in the end which wrapped up their innings with a score of 161 in the alloted 20 overs.

In another match Asian XI beat Tolaba Club by four wickets. Asian XI reached the target set by Tolaba Club without much difficulties. Batting first Tolaba Club scored 102 for nine in the alloted 20 overs with Haider and Huzaifa N scoring 26 and 23 respectively.

Ameer of Asian XI, though he was too expensive took 4 wickets in 2 overs. In reply Asian XI reached the target in just 11 overs with Wasim scoring 32. Smart Club beat Al Ayeena Garage Club by five wickets.

Al Ayeena Garage Club winning the toss elected to bat and were bowled out for 158. There was a brilliant contribution by Darvez who just missed his half century by a run and scored his 49 runs in a mere 25 balls. Godwin of Smart Club grabbed 3 wickets.

Smart Club gave a good reply to Al Ayeena Garage Club by chasing the target in 18.3 overs with Shafiq scoring 47 and Shafaqat scoring a quick 39.
