Child falls to death from Sharjah building

Sharjah: A 12-year-old Indian girl fell to her death from a window of a building in Sharjah early on Monday.

The accident happened in Al Qasimiya area at around 6am when the girl was getting ready to go to school. “She fell into the service shaft of the building ,” a Sharjah Police official said.

Her mother discovered that the girl was missing and informed the police.

Last week, a four-year-old Indian girl plunged to her death from a high-rise apartment in Al Naba’a area at around 8am on Thursday.

The child reportedly managed to climb up a window in the house and slipped through the grille.
