Dubai: The Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment will build 120 villas in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah at a cost of Dh78 million.

Engineer Mubarak Ali Al Shamsi, head of the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Engineer Mohammad Saif Al Afkham, the general manager of Fujairah Municipality, and Ebrahim Mohammad Bumelha, the vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, signed the deal recently.

Bumelha stressed the importance of providing Emiratis who have limited incomes with modern houses.

He also said the charity is currently rolling out a similar housing project in the emirates of Ajman and Umm Al Quwain where 40 per cent of the project had been completed so far.

"Based on the constant direction and support of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the housing project is being launched and considered as a tremendous humanitarian initiative that aims to grant the Emiratis who have large families, not to mention the limited income local families," he said.
