Dubai: A car caught fire on Shaikh Zayed Road near the Greens around 4pm on Thursday.

The incident created a huge traffic tailback during the rush hour.

Motorists who stopped to get a look at the blazing car caused a traffic jam in both directions as firefighters put out the fire.

No injuries were reported.
