Brother and sister killed in Fujairah car accident

Police say that the vehicle swerved and flipped over as driver lost control

Fujairah: Two Arab siblings died after their vehicle overturned in Massafi–Fujairah Road.

Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Al Hassani, Director of Media and Public Relations Department at Fujairah Police, told Gulf News that the incident occurred at around 11.45pm on Saturday.

The Arab man, who was driving his car on his way to Fujairah from Masafi, lost control of his vehicle and as a result it swerved then flipped over.

The deceased were in their 20’s. The driver, identified O.A.R., worked as an engineer and his sister, identified as F.A.R., worked as a physician.

The driver and his sister were moved to Fujairah hospital where they pronounced dead due to the impact of the accident.

The body of the deceased were transferred to Fujairah Hospital morgue to complete the legal procedures, and on Sunday they were handed over to their family for burial.
