Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos, Ilocos Norte Governor has admitted having donated one of his kidneys to his father, former dictator Ferdinand Marcos in 1983.

Bongbong in a TV interview said, "Yes, in 1983 he needed a kidney and I was a good match."

Congresswoman Imee Marcos said, "That was probably the worst day of my mother's life. Two of the people she loved the most were in the operating-room."

Many of those who gave this kind of information about the health of the former dictator 16 years ago, would have landed in jail in the past.

A kidney specialist was reportedly killed after he hinted the Marcos kidney transplant took place at the presidential palace, at a time when he was besieged by protest rallies.
