Abu Dhabi: The Municipality of Abu Dhabi is extending its anti-graffiti campaign to all areas under its jurisdiction. The campaign titled ‘We All Habbah' will be launched in Al Zaafraneh on February 15. It has already been launched in Al Shahama.

The campaign launched last year in Al Wathba is expanding to all areas thanks to the wide participation of the community, Abu Dhabi Municipality said in press release.

The two-week long campaign which rolled out in Al Shahama in the beginning of this week has also attracted participation from all sections of the community members from different age groups.

Better turnout

Presence of pupils — due to their first semester break at school — led to a remarkable increase in the number of participants in the campaign.

The campaign, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Educational Zone, Police Centers and several organisations, is aimed at educating the public on the importance of combating the graffiti as it affects the appearance of the neighbourhood.

It encourages people to remove, graft and eliminate this negative practice which goes against the community norms, traditions and values.

The campaign will gradually cover all the neighborhoods of the capital.

Al Wathba Municipal Center concluded its sixth campaign last week under the theme of ‘The Promising Capital Starts from Here'.
