Algerian therapist Dr. Amar Muhdan has taken charge of Al Ain Club's general sports clinic it has been announced.

Before joining Al Ain Club Dr. Amar worked with the Algerian national team for seven years and then moved to work with the Al Nasr Club of Saudi Arabia for two seasons.

Al Ain Club signed his countryman Dr. Jamal bin Saeed Khalifa, former head of the medical body of the Saudi National team only a few weeks ago.

Khalifa's work was only confined to the senior squad and he is currently accompanying them in their external warm up camp held in Austria and Germany.

Dr. Amar expressed his happiness to work with a big and reputed club like Al Ain.

"I hope to put all my experience at the disposal of the club and help all their teams to demonstrate an excellent season and come up with brilliant results," said Dr. Amar.

Meanwhile, the Al Ain first division team concluded a 10-day preparation camp on Thursday. They then flew to Germany the following day to conduct the second part of the camp at Nortburg region.

During their stay at Salisburg in Austria they played a single friendly game against Stevar Barvin club whom they beat 6-0.

The team's technical body, led by French coach Bruno Metsu, is planning to play four friendlies in the second leg of the warm-up camp in Germany.

They are likely to start their friendlies this afternoon when they take on a German second division team and complete the programme with three other friendlies scheduled for August 21, 23 and 25.

Al Ain's mission is due to return home on August 28 to continue their preparations before they go into the preliminary stage of the President's Cup.

On the other hand Al Ain under 13 years kids, champions of the UAE league for the 2001/2002 season, flew to Egypt by the end of the last week to hold a two-week warm up camp.

The mission was headed by Mohammed Salim Al Shamsy and included the Sudanese coach Khalid Basheir, his assistant Ali Khamis Al Oraimi along with 22 players.
