The Al Nasr Club's senior football team began training earlier this week under their French coach, Rene Exbrayat in preparation for the new season which is scheduled to kick-off on September 17.

All the Al Nasr players took part in the training session which was held at the Humaid Al Tayer stadium and will continue until the team leaves to Italy and France for a 25 days training camp during which they will play four matches against French clubs in the second period of the training camp in Saint Etienne.

Brothers Ali and Salah Abbas and defender Khamis Salim didn't attend the training sessions due to their presence outside UAE for medical checks in London.

Dr Tariq Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Al Nasr Club's Executive Bureau attended the training sessions along with Abdullah Khalifa, the Al Nasr football manager.

Khalifa spoke to the players before the start of the training sessions and asked them to double their efforts in the preparation period so that they can enter the new season in a verygood shape and compete powerfully to win the 2003-2004 season titles.

Exbrayat also spoke to them and expressed his happiness to continue with the team for the second season. The coach told the players to work hard and spare no effort in the training sessions and the matches.

He said they want to compensate the supporters the results of last season which didn't satisfy the Al Nasr fans who are looking to win titles in the league, President's Cup and Super Cup.

Meanwhile, Al Nasr denied the news about the club accepting an amount of $200,000 from Al Ittihad Club, Saudi Arabia for the release of their striker N'Diaye Semba to play with them in the Egypt-Saudi Arabia Super Cup.

"We did not recieve any offer from the Saudi Arabian club and the player is still bound to us with a contract which expires on July 27," said an official from Al Nasr Club.
