In the history of fashion, designers and photographers often work together for a long time to become famous artistic duos such as Yves Saint Laurent & Helmut Newton, or Azzedine Alaia & Peter Lindbergh. On the other side was Karl Lagerfeld, a talented photographer who loved shooting the campaigns himself, like his dear friend Hedi Slimane.
As Virginie Viard from Chanel said, "Fashion is clothes, models, and photographers." The artistic director chose the famous fashion photographers Inez & Vinoodh to shoot the campaign and the collection in the eighties mood, reminding us of Lagerfeld's Chanel debuts.

On the last day of Paris Fashion Week, Chanel transformed the Grand Palais into an intimate set with an elevated white catwalk. The photographers were back to the front row and shot again (or for the first time!) the tops models Adut Akech, Mica Arganarz, and Rianne Van Rompaey, who revealed their best smiles in front of the lenses.

The flurry of flashes from the cameras and the click sounds jog the memory of the magic from the eighties' fashion shows. These beautiful and moving memories were the ones Virginie Viard wanted to bring back to life for the new Chanel generation.

Overalls in leather - and quilted accessories like the matching bag - with large-format versions are back on trend, ideal for going between the city and the beach.
Swimsuit are one of the must-have pieces from Chanel Spring Summer 2022
Sold out pieces. The white crop-top with the Chanel logo in sequins and the black and white swimsuits are among the house's flagship creations. We will see these pieces worn on the most beautiful private beaches and swimming pools next summer.
