Centre to help develop next generation of payments technology
Dubai: Electronic payments company Visa will invest in an innovation centre in Dubai, it said in a statement yesterday. The centre will include a space to develop the next generation of payments technology. The move is expected to help Dubai achieve its Smart City objectives and provide a platform for payments innovation across Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (Cemea). The UAE can serve as a launch pad for new technologies to reach key markets in Cemea.
