E-trading accounted for over two-thirds of trading activity in 2009
Dubai: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) said Sunday that its online trade service (E-trading) showed impressive growth in 2009 as it continues to gain momentum among investors and brokers.
E-trading accounted for over two-thirds of trading activity in 2009 compared to almost half of the exchange's trading in 2008.
E-trading buying trades accounted for 67.4 per cent of the buying value in 2009 compared to 49.8 per cent in 2008, while electronic selling trades accounted for 70.7 per cent of the value in 2009 compared to 53.2 per cent in 2008. The value of electronic buying reached Dh117.06 billion in 2009.
