Sports Council announces ladies calendar

Dubai: The Women’s Sports Committee of Dubai Sports Council have announced their calendar of events for 2018/19.

The list includes nine events ranging from tournaments to workshops and community initiatives.

Within that list is the Shaikha Hind Women’s Sports Tournament in October and the Dubai Women’s Triathlon on November 9.

There are also plans to celebrate the fourth Emirati Women’s Day on August 28. A ‘Future Trainer Programme’ which aims to help train athletes from Dubai clubs to become future coaches has been included, and there is also a free summer sports camp for girls at the Swiss International Scientific School in Al Jaddaf, open to girls of all nationalities aged 7-12, from July 22 to August 15.
