Abu Dhabi: Mubadala has announced their title sponsorship of the Abu Dhabi World Tennis Championship — a premier event on the international tennis calendar produced by FLASH Entertainment.

The Mubadala World Tennis Championship, formerly the Capitala World Tennis Championship, brings together six of the world's top men's players in a three-day competition at the Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex at Zayed Sports City.

Mubadala's commitment to the championship also includes the Mubadala Community Cup and Mubadala Tennis in Schools. These community initiatives, held during the build-up to the championship, have been established to cultivate greater involvement in the game across all age groups by investing in the sport's infrastructure and providing expert coaching at the grassroots level.

Facilities

Ali Eid Al Muhairi, chief executive officer, Mubadala Infrastructure, said: "We are proud to be associated with this event that brings the world's top tennis talent to Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi has world-class tennis facilities at Zayed Sports City and we know there is a growing interest in tennis across the emirate and the wider UAE. It is part of our broader commitment to the community to encourage residents of Abu Dhabi to get involved in sports and lead a healthier lifestyle.

"We hope that by introducing junior players to tennis through our Tennis in Schools programme and providing competition through the Community Cup tournaments that even more people will be encouraged to get involved in this great sport," he added.

John Lickrish, Managing Director of FLASH Entertainment, said he welcomes the chance to partner with Mubadala.
