Shanas romps home with rowing success at DIMC

Dubai: Hot favourites Shanas won the opening rowing round of the Majid Bin Mohammad Watersports Championships at the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) on Friday.

In perfect conditions Majid Amir Al Mua'mri led his Oman Ministry of Sports-owned team home.

Skipper Al Mua'mri said: "We are such a strong team and I'm so proud of our achievement. My thanks goes to the Oman Ministry of Sports for their support."

The Maktoum Cup was part of the ten-race event being held under the patronage of Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts.
