UAE karting driver Hamda backed by FIA

Abu Dhabi: Promising UAE karting driver Hamda Al Qubaisi will carry the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission colours on her kart and racewear in the forthcoming UAE Rotax Max Challenge season.

Hamda is a role model for Emirati girls wanting to pursue a career in motorsport. In her first year of competitive racing last season, she put in some polished performances including numerous podium finishes and a win in the final round of the national championship, making her the first Emirati girl to win a round of the UAE National Karting Championship (Rotax Max Challenge).

Michele Mouton, President of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission, said: “Hamda is a very talented young driver with great potential. She has improved a huge amount in her first racing season and achieved some excellent results.”
