Team inflict first futsal defeat on Mohammad Bin Maktoum at Nad Al Sheba

Dubai: Esmail Hamadaoui scored the fastest goal of the tournament so far to help Al Jawareh inflict a first defeat on the Mohammad Bin Maktoum team in the futsal competition at the Nad Al Sheba Ramadan Championships being held at the Nad Al Sheba Club.
Hamadaoui scored within five seconds of kick-off and then added a second midway through the first half in Wednesday night’s 5-2 win, while Jihad Abdul Salam, Ebrahim Khalid and Ahmad Al Falasi also found the target. Ahmad Fairuz and Majid Saqer replied for the Maktoum team.
The Office also earned their second win with a 2-0 result over Umm Suqueim in the night’s second Group C match. Ebrahim Salem and Mohammad Abdul Kader were the scorers.
Two matches were held in Group D and both proved to be close encounters, with Jumeirah winning 3-1 win against Niran and the Storm Eagles sneaking past Al Namos by a solitary goal.
The highlight for Jumeirah was a fine hat-trick by Bilal Al Sufi, while Mohammad Abu Bakr pulled one back for Niran. Saqr Al Asfah was the scorer for Storm Eagles.
Meanwhile, Warsan 11 became the first team to qualify for the final of the padel tennis event following a 2-0 win over Team Hadidi. The first Al Warsan pair won 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 and the second pair wrapped things up 6-1, 6-0.
Warsan 11 will now await the winners of the second semi-final between Team Matteo and Team Quesada.
Held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the annual Ramadan championships boast a total prize fund of Dh7 million.
