Xerox Golf Challenge to draw to a close
Dubai: The 10th annual Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge will draw to a close on Saturday, April 7 when the grand final is held on the Majlis course at Emirates Golf Club.
104 individuals representing 52 corporate teams have made their way to the Grand Final after each competing in 1 of 8 qualifying rounds held throughout the GCC between October 2006 and March this year.
Andrew Hurt, General Manager for Xerox Emirates, commented, "This is the moment we have been working towards and we are looking forward to it being every bit as exciting as the qualifying rounds."
Special appearance
"We would like to congratulate all the teams for reaching the final and wish them the very best of luck and a thoroughly enjoyable day."
Making a special appearance at the grand final prize-giving dinner will be guest-of-honour, Vivian Anderson, a famed footballer whose career has spanned over 20 years playing or managing players in clubs such as Nottingham Forest, Arsenal, Manchester United, Sheffield Wednesday, and Barnsley. Anderson was the first black player to represent England in an international football match and as well as being Sir Alex Ferguson's first signing for Manchester United. Anderson was awarded the MBE by the Queen for services to football in the Millennium Honours list.
In addition to special guests, the grand final dinner will feature live entertainment, a raffle draw, and a live radio broadcast by Dubai Eye 103.8.
The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge, in its 10th year, has been the biggest ever since the tournament's inception in 1997.
