Scrivener leads in Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed Hosted by Henrik and Annika

Jason Scrivener (Aus) shot the round of the week eight under par second round 64 to take a two stroke lead at the halfway stage of the $2 million Volvo Cars Scandinavian Mixed hosted by Henrik and Annika at Halmstad Golf Club, Sweden, co-sanctioned by both the DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour (LET).

33 year-old Scrivener, currently 109 in the season long DP World Tour Rankings and 214 in the OWGR is looking for his first win on Tour and had an impressive eight birdies and 10 pars on the card.

His 36 hole total is 132 following his first round 68. Scrivener has had just one bogey in his opening two rounds.

Six under 66

Scrivener leads into tomorrow’s (Saturday) third round from Mike Lorenzo-Vera (Fr), 19 year-old Italian amateur Carolina Megrati alongside leading LET Pro Linn Grant (Swe), with two men and two ladies making up the top four players in the field.

Co-host Henrik Stenson (Swe) shot an impressive six under 66 to move up 34 spots to be tied 8th on 136 going into the weekend.

79 players beat the par of 144 for 36 holes, with the 36 hole cut falling at two under par 142 with 69 players making the cut.
