Opened in November 2005, under the auspices of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammed Al Qassimi, Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club provides first-class facilities for golf, shooting, recreation, well-being, casual dining and socialising

Located immediately off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, only 10 minutes from the Dubai border, SGSC strives to establish a tradition of excellence and attract the most prominent business leaders, young professionals and families alike

SGSC has a long-established membership base of well over 1,000 people, attracting members from as far afield as Dubai, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah as well as Sharjah

The club boasts a nine-hole Championship standard, fully floodlit golf course, which enables play well into the evening

If played twice, this par 72 layout requires you to use every club in the bag, yet can play any distance between 5,576 (forward tees) and 7,164 yards (Championship tees). Above, pro shop at Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club. There are also tennis courts among the many facilities

Described as a pleasure to play but a challenge to par, the course features between five to seven different tees on every hole, wide fairways and huge greens. Tennis facilities are also on hand

The oasis setting also includes water features, strategically placed bunkers and challenging undulations, offering a fair yet tough test to every level of golfer
