Men's Amateur Open all set to swing into action
Dubai: The Dubai Creek Men's Amateur Open will get under way early in 2008 with the first days' play commencing at 7:20am on Friday.
The two-day OMEGA-sponsored event features a strong field with participants coming to take part from as far a field as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain.
A record number of 153 entries were received and the handicap ballot was set at 10, guaranteeing a strong field of 99 players.
Heading up the list of favourites from entries received thus far will be the UAE based +1 handicapper Matthew Turner.
