Gerry Johnson claims top spot at Dubai Hills

Gerry Johnson claimed the first round of the MMI Summer Series with a sensational round of 42 stableford points at Dubai Hills Golf Club.

Gerry had eight Net birdies in his round and dropped only two shots. The recently revived Gerry finished four points clear of his nearest rival Andy Beddard.

Beddard also produced a solid performance dropping just two shots on his way to a total of 38 points.

The third and final prize in the Men’s Division went to Russ Saunders whose level par score of 36 points was enough to beat Gavin Sutherland in a countback.

Lynn Cimino claimed the winner spot in the Ladies Division following a consistent round of 36 points.
