After analysis of more than 100 leading global golf courses, EGC come in seventh

The Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club in Dubai has ranked seventh in a study to find the top golf courses in the world.
Sportscover Direct analysed more 100 golf courses, looking at heritage, cloud cover, annual rainfall and public reviews to generate a total score out of 100 and discover the top 50 courses globally.
Chris May, CEO of Dubai Golf, said: “We are delighted to be included in a group of such prestigious courses around the world. The Majlis Course is a special course in our region, being the first grass course in the Middle East, and has remained at the forefront of golf globally as annual host venue of the Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic. The course is enjoyed by members and guests year round, as well as providing a test for the best players in the world with so many of the greatest names in golf winning on the Majlis including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Ernie Els, Seve Ballesteros, Bryson DeChambeau, Victor Hovland and Annika Sorenstam.

Los Angeles Country Club (North) came top of the list with an overall score of 85.3. It was established in 1897, and has moved home three times before it settled in its current location in Beverly Hills.
