Dubai Creek UAE Pro Am Winner

The Dubai Creek UAE PGA Pro-Am took place on Wednesday 5th October 2022 at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.

25 of the best professionals the UAE has to offer, their esteemed guests and members of the Creek battled it out around the beautifully presented Championship Course. Winning this year’s Professional competition by one strokes with a brilliant 70 (-1) on a tough course setup was Ian Clarke.

After being presented with his prize, Clarke commented; “A huge thank you to Dubai Creek for hosting today’s event, we have all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The golf course was prepared brilliantly and it was a great test for all of us. Thank you also to our sponsor today, BMW, your support is greatly appreciated. Finally, I want to thank my team, you led the way and guided me around the course today. We’re all looking forward to coming back next year.”

The remainder of the professional’s tournament was tightly contested with Louis Gaughan shooting a fantastic 71 (E) to take second place. Matthew Brooks, Sam McLaren & Matt Rice tied for third place with scores of 72, (+1), and a score of 73 (+2) saw Jackson Bell & Luke Plum tie for 6th place.

The brilliant score of fifteen-under-par by the team of Matthew Brooks (Pro), Yujung Seo (Am), Jake Gardner (Am), and Phillip Brennan (Am) was enough to win the team event on a better back 9, followed closely in 2nd place by Euan Bowen (Pro), Nathan Seldon (Am), Michael Nielsen (Am), and Christian Klynge (Am).

Rewarding their accurate iron play, the nearest the pin prizes were won by Wahid Al Attar on the 5th hole, Nathan Seldon on the 8th hole, Mung Soon Kim on the 14th hole, and Yujung Seo on the 16thhole.

At the prize giving Tom Hall, Dubai Creek Golf Services Executive, commented; "Thank you all for your support and participation in this year’s Dubai Creek UAE PGA Pro-Am, I hope that you all enjoyed your games today. Congratulations to all our winners today.
