Pink Ball Breast Cancer Awareness team event a success at Els Club

Congratulations to all 28 players who competed in the recent Desert Rose Golfing Society (DRGS) supported Pink Ball tournament at The Els Club in Dubai, supported by our DRGS sponsors Car Buying People and Mediclinic.

The Pink Ball format saw the winning four player team of Carol Howard, Fiona Donaldson, Rachel Jones and Kerstin Drossard-Schumacher take the top prize with an impressive combined team score of 67 points.

Our October Breast Cancer month is always popular with all our lady members with awareness being the focus of each event and meeting and talking with experts and like minded lady golfers. Prizes were provided by Car Buying People with vouchers for medical screening provided by Mediclinic.

Our DRGS Membership continues to go from strength to strength with new members joining each week. Our UAE wide community is growing as lady golfers find out about all our activities all over the UAE and wider afield.

The next Breast Cancer Awareness event supported by DRGS is at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club on Wednesday October 20.

To join the DRGS, the annual Membership Fee is Dh1,000 per person with access to almost 100 regular golf events and other benefits, with participation requiring an EGF recognized handicap. Membership is open to both members of golf clubs as well as non-members. Other initiatives related to golf are also being included in the Membership offering.
