Golfers in Palmetto, Florida, recently found themselves unable to play through when giant reptile was seen roaming over the course
Dubai: Golf courses are famous for having strict rules when it comes to entrance eligibility. Muirfield Golf Club in Scotland denying access to a woman is the most recent example.
But are monstrous-sized alligators permitted access to the green? Yes, it seems.
Golfers in Palmetto, Florida, recently found themselves unable to play through when a giant reptile was seen roaming over the course.
Charles Helms, who witnessed the trespasser, was able to film a video of the alligator slowly crossing the fairway.
Speaking to News 3, golf course employee Wendy Schofield said: “People have heard that he is out here and that is all they want to see so they will bring spectators to ride so somebody can get a picture.
“He doesn't bother anybody and they don't bother him, he's like a mascot for the course, which is owned by Manatee County. He has been here for a very, very long time, he's not new at all.
“There have been guesses that he's 15 to 16 feet long.
“The word has spread that this is a great place to come and play. He is the highlight, but we are worth the price too.”
