Dubai: It looks like Shaheen the World Cup predicting camel has been saving his best for last.
The Gulf News internet sensation was the talk of the web after his 50-50 calls on matches during the group stages.
Even then, some of his predictions only went wrong because of the number of upsets in the tournament.
Who would have had Argentina failing to beat Iceland, Brazil stuttering against Switzerland or even Mexico beating Germany?
He then went viral when he called six of the eight last-16 matches correctly from his home in the Dubai desert.
Some of his videos were garnering up to 100,000 views by fans eager to know his predictions.
The quarter-finals were not his finest hour as he got one of the four right.
But he came back with a bang, predicting both France and Croatia as winners in the semi-finals over Belgium and England respectively.
We always had faith in him.
Will he get the final right? We will find out on Sunday.
