Dubai: Jader Volnei Spindler, aka Bare, set the Al Maktoum Stadium pitch on fire as he hammered all four goals for UAE Champions Al Ahli in their 4-2 defeat of Sharjah in a UAE President's Cup match Monday night.
All of the Brazilian's goals arrived in the second half goal fest after Sharjah looked more menacing and went close a couple of times in the first session.
Bare struck in the 46th, 54th, 79th and 86th minutes to kick Sharjah out of the competition. Sharjah could have gone into the breather with the lead in their favour, but both their strikers Mustafa Kareem and Marcelo Oliveira Silva shot straight at the Al Ahli keeper.
Silva and Salem Saif scored one goal each for Sharjah.
Elsewhere, Mohammad Salmain and Hussain Suhail each netted once to give Al Dhafra a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Al Oruba, who went ahead through Behshad's 30th minute strike.
Ricardo Oliveira, Ali Mabkhot and Ebrahim Diaky all got on to the scoresheet as Al Jazira thrashed Al Shaab 3-0 at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.
