Dubai: Al Nasr Blue Waves will be signing up more players in the coming weeks to strengthen their team for the next season of the UAE League in September.
After signing Moroccan player Anwar Deeba from Al Wackra club of Qatar and Mohammad Mal Allah from Al Khaleej club in Khor Fakkan last week, the Blue Waves also signed brothers Saeed and Abdullah Mubarak from Hatta club.
Meanwhile the club will not renew the contracts of Iranians Mehrzad Maadanchi, Mohammad Nasarati and Claudio Nai of Brazil.
The club's new board of directors chaired by His Highness Shaikh Maktoum Bin Hashr Al Maktoum placed the senior team on priority after Al Nasr lost eight of their best players last season.
As a result, Al Nasr finished the season in sixth place, way behind league champions Al Ahli.
Al Nasr last won a league title in 1986.
The team players will take a rest until the middle of July before starting preparations for the next season.
Al Nasr will hold a training camp in Germany from July 29 to August 20.
Mohammad Mal Allah was signed by Al Nasr to a three-year contract for Dh8 million. He will be receiving a monthly salary of Dh70,000.
"I am happy to join a big club like Al Nasr and I hope to do my best with my colleagues to make Al Nasr a major soccer power in the UAE," Mal Allah commented.
The former striker of Al Khaleej said he hopes Al Nasr will be the gate from which he returns to the national team.
"My return to the national team will be through the Al Nasr club. I hope to show good performances with my new club to convince the national team trainer to select me," he said.
