Sivaramakrishnan suffers finger injury

Abu Dhabi: India A allrounder Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan suffered a finger injury during nets yesterday and will be out of action for three weeks.

Rajan Nair, the India A team's Media Manager, who arrived late after some visa problems, said the management was yet to decide whether to ask for a replacement as India still have to play three more matches in the league and maybe the final on May 5.

Meanwhile, all teams will enjoy a rest day today, though a get-together has been arranged for players and officials.

Ireland and The Netherlands have completed their first round with two losses apiece, leaving the four Asian countries to battle it out for group leadership.

Sri Lanka take on the UAE tomorrow and currently the UAE are leading the table after their convincing win over the Irish.

The other group is poised for a good finish as both India and Pakistan tallied over 300 against the Dutch.

Packed with quite a few players who have done duty for their respective seniors squad, Friday's match could be a close encounter.
