Investigators want second opinion

Kingston: Police in Jamaica are to bring in a second pathologist in a bid to find out what killed Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer.

The decision was taken after police admitted that the post-mortem carried out this week was inconclusive.

However they have said that although they are treating the death as ‘suspicious' they will not make any further comment until they get the government pathologists full report.

Police spokesman Karl Angell said the police had not seen the report as the pathologist was awaiting the result of toxicology and histology tests.

But he added: "A decision was taken to seek the opinion of a second pathologist. Arrangements are currently being made to engage the services of this pathologist."

Bob Woolmer was found dead in his hotel room on Sunday less than a day after Pakistan were dumped out of the Cricket World Cup in the group stages after losing to Ireland.

A Pakistan team official has already said there was blood and vomit in the room, but Woolmer's wife has said she didn't suspect foul play.
