David Warner dropped from Australia squad after alleged fight with England player

Birmingham: Australian batsman David Warner has been dropped from the squad for Wednesday’s match against New Zealand after an alleged physical altercation with an England player in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Warner has been stood down by Cricket Australia pending the outcome of a hearing into the incident, which took place following the Champions Trophy match between the two teams on Saturday.

The opener has been reported for breaching the team’s code of conduct.

The hearing will take place as soon as possible.
