Abu Dhabi: The British School Al Khubairat defeated the International School of Choueifat in the Under 16 Lifebuoy Abu Dhabi inter-school cricket tournament throwing group B wide open.

Patrick Hyde bowled Al Khubairat to victory after claiming the prized wicket off Choueifat captain Dan D'Souza and the last two wickets to skittle out them for 102. Choueifat fell short by 18 runs while chasing Al Khubairat's 120 for six at the ADCC grounds on Saturday, an Abu Dhabi Cricket Council press release said.

Dan D'Souza (34) and Alan D'Souza (20) had put on 58 for the fourth wicket, and they were cruising at 82 for two until the run out of the latter batsman triggered a sensational collapse. Tim Cossins took two wickets in quick succession before Hyde produced the final blow to return with three for 14 from four overs.
