** Afridi’s duck is his 30th in ODIs. Only Sri Lankan Sanath Jayasuriya has made more ducks (34) in ODIs

** Wahab Riaz’s 54* is the now the 2nd highest score by a Pakistani at no 8 position in the World Cup after Adul Razzaq’s 62 against New Zealand at Pallekele on 8 Mar 2011.

** The highest still remains the 72* by Zimbabwe’s Heath Streak v New Zealand at Bloemfontein in 2003 WC

** Wahab Riaz (54* and 4/45) became the first Pakistani to hit a fifty and take a 4 wicket haul in a WC match. He is the 8th overall to do so in all WCs

** Umar Akmal became first Pakistan wicketkeeper to take 5 catches in a World Cup match. Rashid Latif had taken 5 dismissals (4 catches and 1 stumping) against New Zealand at Lahore in 1996 WC

** First time in ODI history left-arm pacers have taken 9 wickets in same ODI innings. Mohd Irfan (4), Wahab Riaz (4), Rahat Ali (1) together claimed nine wickets!

** With this win Pakistan have just gone ahead of India (440) with their 441st ODI victory. Only Australia 523 have more ODIs.
