Abu Dhabi: Senior sports officials in the UAE feel the opening of the CAS centre in the UAE capital will give rise to a healthy group of arbitrators from the UAE.

Mohammad Ebrahim Al Mahmoud, General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) said: "We will be involved in organising seminars and other events in co-ordination with the CAS centre in Abu Dhabi."

"These seminars will help create an awareness and will encourage some of our senior officials in the UAE to participate and qualify themselves as arbitrators," the ADSC official said.

ADSC has been keen to promote Abu Dhabi as a great venue for both sport and tourism and this latest addition of a CAS centre will help boost the image of the UAE in general and Abu Dhabi in particular," Al Mahmoud stated.
